The art print of Portrait Angela Davis is printed on Hanemühle, museum-quality paper.
The story behind Portrait Angela Davis is one of respect. It was Lady Phyll Opoku-Gymah who taught me about the fight for human rights, and what Angela Davis had done and still does. This woman is a philosopher, author and civil rights activist. She is a professor emeritus and is a huge role model for African American people as well as for the LGBTQi+ community. This portrait was one of the first I have drawn for the project Black Queer Role Models: Painting For Unity. As an artist, unity is one of my values and I firmly believe that art is the perfect vehicle to address social problems.
