In Episode 13 I discuss the importance of mastering your art and entrepreneurial skills to become either a professional artist or to get better and better as an artist. You also have to master entrepreneurial skills if you want your independence, able to talk with your collectors instead of the galleries and museums and auction houses and the politics that play.
Beauty is subjective to a certain point. If pushed upon us long enough we start to believe that something is excellent or brilliant and innovative. I will give you some examples from my study and research as an art historian and how I learned how the strings are pulled.
In this episode, I also talk about the necessity to train with a teacher, because the self-taught myth will get you stuck one way or the other. You can’t study all by yourself.
